Last Wednesday April 2, 2008, the joint accrediting teams from AdvancEd (SACS) and CIS presented a summary of their findings to the ECA faculty, administration, board members,  parents  and staff.  The full report will be available and shared with the whole ECA community at a later date.  The teams congratulated the school in several   strengths: 

A challenging academic program as well as programs that meet the needs of the whole child

A superintendent, administrative team and highly capable faculty and staff to implement the school’s programs

A visionary board fully committed to providing the resources to support  ECA’s mission and vision through strong financial planning and allocation of resources and a well-designed facilities master plan

A strong and enthusiastic parent association involved in many aspects of school life

ECA’s commitment to create a friendly, safe environment for the whole ECA community

The teams recommended that ECA continue its work in reinforcing a strong curriculum  and to work towards even better communication with all members of the community about the goals and plans for future improvements.

This visit was the culmination of the work and dedication of many members of the ECA community and we wish to take this opportunity to thank all those involved.  We were able to highlight ECA as the innovative and  positive school that it is.
