Who sees the Counselor?
Students may see the
counselor for help with their concerns – friendship,
bullying, academics, and more. Teachers consult with the
counselor on guidance activities, individual student
concerns, and behavior management strategies. Parents see
the counselor for many reasons related to their children –
academics, social concerns, transitions, parenting
challenges, or for community referrals. The counselor offers
support and encouragement for the most important job of all
– parenting.
How do you contact the
ES Counselor?
Call the Elementary
Counselor Office at extension 2013 to make an appointment
and ask for Marycarmen Casais (Nursery to 5th grade
counselor), or refer your child through their Homeroom
teacher or any staff member. Also, please feel free to stop
by the Guidance Office - Room 212 if you have a concern as
she has an open door policy. |
