Grade 1:

Click on this link to Explore the museum.  Go with the alien and stop to look at the first painting. Enjoy finding out about the artist and completing the tasks! (don't worry if you don't have access to a printer - just ask a grown up to help you draw the shapes for cutting out)

Grade 2:

Visit Still Life and click on the picture of a guitar.  Discover more about this picture and the artist who painted it by completing the on-line activity.

Grades 3, 4 and 5

Follow the activities in the Toolkit web site and learn more about lines, edges and outlines

Sketch several drawings following the instructions for blind contour drawings. Using this method will help you train your eyes to see the shapes of things as you draw.

Practice your color mixing abilities by opening the following links and working on the activities: Primary & Secondary colors,  Complementary colors

Extra notice for Grade 4 only

Practice drawing a one point perspective hallway at home and bring in the drawing next week to share with the rest of the class.  Don't forget using PERPENDICULAR lines and the VANISHING POINT.
