Happening in Third Grade?
End
of the Year Writing Prompt
All third graders
will be taking their end of the year writing prompt the
week of May 10-14. ECA uses this assessment to
measure the growth of student achievement from the
present academic school year.
Please make sure
your child is at school on time every day
during this time.
Poetry Cafe
Beautiful poems
students will share,
Performing with
stunning charisma and flair.
You are welcome to
come and take a seat,
But please bring
along a tasty treat!
To culminate our
unit on poetry, our third grade writing classes will
hold a Poetry Cafe on Friday May 21st from 11-12 in Ms.
Nalepa's classroom, 121.
Parents, please
bring a treat to share with the classes to show our
appreciation to the poets.

Mini-Societies
The Gr. 3 market is
up and running. Parents, if you have time, please
volunteer to come and work at the store. Gr. 3
will pay you $25 (Mini Society money) for each day you
work. You can use that money at our Market Day on
June 4th to buy beautiful products made by our students.
Mad Minutes
There are 5 more weeks of school to work on your Multiplication Mad
Minutes. Please practice everyday!
