Frame-By-Frame animation |
Source File |
In this animation, the object is moved from one place to another in 1 layer only, but with each new key frame, the position of the object is moved. It contains no tweening or any other feature. This type of animation can be very smooth if designed with a lot of patience. A few good samples of frame-by-frame animation will be listed here soon. |

Motion Tween Animation |
Source File |
A motion tween is basically the movement of an object from one position to the other in a straight line. Every set of frames that have a motion tween applied, appear in blue with an arrow across them as shown in the example here. Notice how the animation is smoother than the previous example even though only 4 key frames have been used in the source. |

Text Motion Tween |
Source File |
In this example you will see how text are moved around using motion tweening to create simple yet attractive animations and introductions. You will also use the fading out effect. Once the motion tween has been added, select the final frame of the motion tween on that layer, choose the object on the stage, go to Properties and make the Alpha property 0. This will result in the object becoming invisible at the end of the tween. |

Single Character Motion Tween |
Source File |
This sample shows how single characters can be used to create animations similar to the previous example. To do the example given, create a layer for each character of the text you want to animate. The text being used here is FLASH. How to do it? Simple. Create a new layer for each of your characters, as shown and place your characters one on top of the other when all frames are at 1. By the time they all come to frame 40, make sure they are all well aligned and make the word F L A S H. Select all frames then and Create Motion Tween. That's all. |
