Inspiring through
technology
As we move
into a rapidly changing world where technology is becoming
an integral part of our lives, we need to review and rework
the way we prepare our students to face the challenges of
this "new" world. We believe that technology is the next
revolutionary force that will radically reshape the way we
communicate, work, play and do business. We are committed to
preparing our students to meet the needs of an ever growing
and shifting new “digital economy”, and to help them become
successful and responsible members of the our society. As we
move from the information age to the knowledge age we must
be “geared” to prepare our students not to just be consumers
of information but to become producers of meaningful
information. We understand and realize the need for a timely
response to these challenges and the need to prepare our
students to sustain and prompt global development.
Our vision for technology is centered on the learning needs
of our students. We envisage a connected and distributed
community of life long learners who are connect with each
other through the comprehensive and systematic use of
technology combined with a relevant curriculum, which is
focused on career development. We believe that technology
will serve as the catalyst for the transition from
traditional learning to a student-centered, problem solving,
and project driven approach. It will transform the way we
design, develop and deploy our educational program and will
enable our students to go beyond the boundaries of their
classroom and provid e them with access to worldwide
resources, anytime and anywhere.
Many
research studies have indicated that student
performance increases, resulting in students becoming
quality communicators, creative problem solvers and
inventive collaborators, when they have access to the
technology at all times. We believe that consistent and
constant access with this learning tool by students
strengthens their evolution as critical thinkers, and
thereby ensures their success and preparedness for the
future. We hope to transform our learning paradigm to a
just-in-time model rather than a just-in-case model.
At ECA we are committed to making this program work for our
students and to set the pace and provide the model for other
schools. We would like to invite you to join us in this
quest to make this a reality. |
